Gorgeous handcrafted artpiece from Tuban, Java.

Handwoven with organic cotton creating a rough & raw texture from very thick, earthy cotton.

This is a artpiece to be hung on the wall. However Can be worn as a scarf, shawl or wrap.

Hand batiked & naturally dyed with natural colors created from plants. Handcrafted in Tuban Java. The pattern represents Pumpkin flowers and a bird.

Batik is a unique form of art that originated in Java Indonesia and is still practiced today. Batik involves applying hot wax to fabric to create a resist pattern before the fabric is dyed. Multiple layers of wax can be applied to create multiple colors. Once dyeing is complete the wax is boiled off the fabric revealing the resist pattern underneath.

One of a kind I only have one scarf like this available.
