Batik Kimono - Java - Dark Brown
Whilst travelling Java I sourced only 3 batik kimono. This is one of the 3.
This Kimono features darker brown tones and a tie at the front. Also some particular detailing down the front and on the bottom of the sleeves. Gorgeous puffy sleeves which full beautifully around the body. Lovely shape.
Batik is a unique form of art that originated in Java Indonesia and is still practiced today. Batik involves applying hot wax to fabric to create a resist pattern before the fabric is dyed. Multiple layers of wax can be applied to create multiple colors. Once dyeing is complete the wax is boiled off the fabric revealing the resist pattern underneath.
Unisex freesize.
