Handwoven Ikat Skirt from Jepara Java, Mustard & Black tones.
One of a kind skirt, made from handwoven Ikat. Has a stretchy waistband plus a zip in the middle back. Size S to M, upto size 14.
Ikat is a special style of weaving found in traditional villages across Indonesia. What makes ikat special/ different from many other traditionally woven fabrics is the fact that the cotton yarn is dyed BEFORE it is woven. This makes it very difficult to weave ikat.
This ikat has been hand selected during my travels in Central Java. This is from Jepara region. Handwoven from cotton using traditional ikat weaving methods.
This ikat skirt features mustard & black tones.
I have only ONE ikat skirt like this available.
